The level of freedom in a society is measured by the freedom of its women. Women's rights are not a "women's issue" — they are the issue of life itself: whatever right a man holds in any sphere of life, a woman holds the same right to the same extent. Our foundation defends these rights and pursues this struggle by democratic means.
Equal representation in politics
Women have the right to take part in politics at every level and in every field: to vote and be elected, to have an equal voice in decision-making, and to be represented through models such as co-chairing and equal representation. Politics without women is incomplete; democracy without women is not democracy.
A voice in every area of life
At home, at work, on the street, in associations and in parliaments — wherever life is lived, women hold an equal voice and equal decision-making power. Decisions about a woman's own life, body and future belong to her alone.
Equality in the economy
Equal pay for equal work; equal sharing of property, inheritance and resources; recognition of women's invisible domestic labour; the right to earn and manage one's own income. Economic independence is the material foundation of freedom.
Equality in education and knowledge
Every girl has the right to go to school; every woman has the right to learn, to produce knowledge and to take her place in science. Women's knowledge and experience are half of society's collective mind.
Equal sharing in life together
Family and shared life are relationships of equality, not domination: equal sharing of responsibilities, labour and decisions. No union is legitimate unless it rests on free and equal will.
A life free from violence, and self-defence
Domestic violence, harassment, forced and child marriage and every form of gender-based oppression are violations of rights. Women have the right to protection from violence and to defend themselves.
Our path: democratising life
None of these rights is a favour; they are won through struggle. We carry out this struggle with a democratic approach — through education, organisation, solidarity and dialogue — aiming to democratise not only politics but everyday life itself. As women become free, society becomes free.
