Stichting Kevana Zêrîn ("The Golden Crescent") is a non-profit foundation established in the Netherlands on 26 August 2022, seated in the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Its name refers to the Fertile Crescent, the cradle of civilisation.
Our foundation stands with women and ethnic minorities from the Middle East and around the world. Our conviction is clear: peace, dialogue and equality can only be built together.
Our objectives
- strengthening the position of (ethnic) minorities in society in the fields of ethnicity, religion and culture;
- promoting peace and dialogue between the peoples of the Middle East, Europe and the rest of the world;
- supporting cooperation and solidarity among oppressed peoples;
- defending and advancing the rights of women, and supporting the democratic struggle for freedom of women from the Middle East and the rest of the world.
How we work
We pursue our goals by organising lectures, courses, trainings and information sessions, by developing projects, and by raising funds with the support of our donors.
